The Queen

She was the braveness of the jungle
The daregirl climbing fears
Always a bit younger
than the collected years
The foe of the suppressor
who never knew taboos
In the play with the latter
she found ways to amuse

Bridge over troubles
Wind at my back
Deepest mirror for my soul
without a single crack
My cage and my freedom
The lead of my track
Never ever coming back

She was the sun setting fire
to the rubbish pushed down low
Always digging, delving deeper
to leave the seed to grow
The light of the homeless
as a smile in the crowd
A beacon for the hopeless
through the isolating cloud

Bridge over troubles
Wind at my back
Deepest mirror for my soul
without a single crack
My cage and my freedom
The lead of my track
Never ever coming back

She was the Queen of joy and laughter
The reason I believed
in happy ever after
in praises I achieved
The strongest of her powers
enthroned so high above
The hardest of them all:
the ability to LOVE

Bridge over troubles
Wind at my back
Deepest mirror for my soul
without a single crack
My cage and my freedom
The lead of my track
Never ever coming back

She was my goal and my way
my safest, soundest stay
and wherever I'll be
she'll always stay inside of me
